Oldham-based construction and fit-out firm Medlock FRB has reported revenue growth of 69% for 2014.

On the back of retail and leisure contracts, Medlock FRB’s sales grew to £18.54m in 2014, up from £11m in 2013.

New clients included Whitbread, JD Wetherspoon and Curzon Cinemas, while the firm also had repeat business from pub operators Greene King, Joseph Holt, Hydes and JW Lees. Medlock employs 62 staff and operates nationwide.

Already this year Medlock has seen a further 20% growth in its first quarter revenues and it is forecasting full-year sales will be more than £20m for 2015.

Finance director Colin Drury said: “We are pleased to report that the company has achieved record sales and further progress against our business plan. Along with our strong balance sheet, these achievements provide a robust platform from which to deliver further long-term strategic growth across the business.

“We have continued to deliver our projects safely, on time, to budget and to the highest quality, leading to further repeat business.

“In addition, our customer base has been strengthened with the addition of a number of premium brands.

“We have had an extremely strong start to 2015 with first-quarter sales 20% above target and the completion of some excellent projects within the period. We remain committed to providing great value, service and quality to our customers.”
