Structural steelwork contractor Severfield has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Nottingham Trent University, paving the way for closer cooperation.
The MOU provides a platform for learning and development both for Severfield staff and for students at the university, the company said.
It also offers the opportunity for both parties to collaborate on research and development projects and will give students the chance of work placements and careers with Severfield.
Severfield chief executive Ian Lawson said “We are delighted to have this new understanding with Nottingham Trent University. Several members of our senior management team are alumni and working with the university will undoubtedly be mutually beneficial.”
