New regional director for Morgan Sindall

Morgan Sindall has appointed Dave Cook as area director with responsibility for projects delivered by the firm’s offices in Fareham and Reigate.

Mr Cook joined the company in December from Bouygues UK (Leadbitter) where he was regional director. Prior to this, he held a similar role at MJ Gleeson.

Reporting to John Homer, Morgan Sindall’s managing director for Construction South, Dave Cook has responsibility for construction operations in Hampshire, Berkshire, Sussex, Surrey and Kent.

He said: “This is a great opportunity for me personally; I’ve always had a healthy competitive respect for Morgan Sindall as a business and felt an affinity with the way in which the company operates. I’m really enjoying being part of the team and I’m looking forward to developing the business further.

“There is much potential for Morgan Sindall across the southeast of England. The opportunities are there and we’ve got an experienced and focused team in place ready to deliver. We already have a quality offering, a great depth of experience, and some excellent talent within the company, so my primary focus will be to consolidate the business and build on these firm foundations to drive consistent and sustainable growth.”

Morgan Sindall is currently on site at a number of projects, including The Curve, a new library, cultural and community centre in Slough, which forms the first phase of a £1bn regeneration development for the town. The overall scheme is being developed by Slough Regeneration Partnership LLP, which is a local asset backed vehicle (LABV) between Morgan Sindall Investments Ltd and Slough Borough Council established last year.
