McLaren Construction has won a £37m contract to design and build a distribution centre in Amesbury, Wiltshire for retail group TJ Morris.
The development, designed by AJA Architects, is on 41.3 acres and comprises more than 74,300m2 of buildings. As well as the distribution centre, itself, McLaren is building a three-storey office block and a training centre.
The external works incorporate vehicle wash and fuelling facilities, parking for 161 HGVs and 344 cars.
McLaren Construction managing director Phil Pringle said: “We are delighted to have been given this opportunity to work with a progressive and developing retailer such as T J Morris on their flagship project. We look forward to establishing a long term working relationship with this valued customer.”
Works are scheduled for completion in October 2014.
