Costain Group has promoted David Taylor to group commercial director.
David Taylor will join the executive board of Costain in his new role on 1st January 2015.
He replaces Patrick Bruce who retires next March after 42 years’ service with Costain.
Since joining the company in 2009, Mr Taylor has had several roles, most recently as commercial director of the natural resources divisional.
Before joining Costain, he was with Taylor Woodrow for 25 years, latterly as commercial director for its UK operations.
Group finance director Tony Bickerstaff said: “As part of a planned succession, we are delighted to welcome David on to the executive board and have every confidence that he will play a significant role in the Company’s future success.
“Patrick has made an outstanding contribution to Costain and should be rightly proud of his long career in the group. During that time he has successfully worked on a number of high profile projects and been a role model for many.”
